Dachshunds come in a rainbow of colors and patterns from Red, Black/Tan, Chocolate, ee Red, Blue, Isabella, Wheaton, English Cream, Shaded Cream, Dapple, Brindle, to Piebald, with or without ticking. At Spottadachs we carefully plan our litters to not produce dilute or double dapple because of the adverse health effects they can have. These are only some of the options that make Dachshunds the most colorful of any dog breed. Did you know Dachshunds have more coat types than any other breed as well… Long, smooth, and wire are the three accepted by AKC.
Some of our puppies even have multiple patterns but at Spottadachs Miniature Dachshunds health, temperament, conformation, and the families that take our puppies home are our number one priority.
All of our dogs are health tested to ensure they do not have any genetic issues that can be passed on to their offspring. This enables us to feel confident in offering our puppies a LIFETIME genetic health guarantee.
Our dogs both young and old receive only the best food and care following our breeding philosophy which puts their health and mental well-being first.
Our dogs are not kept in crates, on wire, or sleep on cold concrete floors, we strongly believe in giving our dogs as natural a pack-like social life as possible while still experiencing life in a household setting. Everyday life is an adventure with our pack.
Our pups (as adopting families get to watch on the 24/7 live puppy cams) begin socialization from a very young age starting with daily touch and sound sessions. Once they are old enough to play (supervised) with the rest of our pack they begin learning proper canine social cues which in turn will help them respect their human family as well.

Spottadachs Kennel got us the perfect pup! Frank isn’t afraid of anything, his bffs all smoke him by at least 20+lbs and he never backs down! He’s the cuddliest yet so independent, and super smart. Almost too smart. Definitely reccomend one of Raven or Belles pups hands down!

Tamara Holdaway of Spottadachs provided me not only with the sweetest puppy, but the best experience. She held my hand through this process, was available 24/7 for questions & concerns of mine. She sent weekly photos (literal doggy photo shoot) that I still cherish to this day. The 24 hour puppy cam was playing in my house all day long! Her puppy training program was a huge factor in potty training, Winnie came home and had minimal accidents after being raised to go potty on grass. Even after I picked up Winifred, Tamara still allowed me to contact her with questions & worries. Overall, there is not a place I trust more than Spottadachs. Tank loves to tunnel in blankets and cuddle on couches. He is such a good puppy, who enjoys going for walks and playing fetch for hours.
Our first experience with Spottadachs was excellent! Besides having an informative website about who they are & what they do, Tamara is very approachable & is always there for us whenever we have any queries. We fell in love with our boy Ninja, who is now 12 weeks old; a healthy boy with big personality! This spunky girl takes her naps seriously. She’s either sleeping or running, so it’s hard to catch a shot of her unless she’s asleep. She’s quite spoiled and loves to be the center of attention. I love this crazy girl so much!
I love my little Ladybug! She is such a sweet heart and has such a good temper. I would absolutely recommend Spottadachs to anyone looking for a dachshund puppy. Ladybug has the most beautiful coat and markings and i could tell from the moment i met her she was raised in a good home. She is a little shy at first but gets along very well with other dogs and kids. She is my best friend!
Argus — or ‘Gus’ — is 14 months old. He and his jack russel sister are the best of friends and play for hours on end. His sister keeps trying to teach him tug of war, but he would much rather wrestle and chase. He is attending socialization classes and doing splendidly. Just the sweetest boy.
We purchased our Fender from Tamara Holdaway with Spottadachs and could not be happier. Tamara is an excellent breeder producing show quality, heathy, genetically sound puppies from genetically tested parents. Tamara then begins the process of teaching the puppies socialization, playtime activities, and housebreaking guidelines that can be reproduced in the forever home. Fender is well adjusted and curious but not fearful of new noises. We duplicated the grass setup house training that Tamara has at her puppy school and Fender has not had any accidents which is amazing! Tamara takes breeding puppies seriously and runs her breeding business professionally with a plan to send the puppy home that includes everything new puppy parents need information wise and suggestions and samples of products to keep your puppy busy during those first few days. Tamara is available via phone or text for support but more than that Tamara really cares about her puppies and it really shows in her continuing study of this beautiful breed. So happy with Fender our puppy and Tamara made the purchase process very easy and stressless.
We are so thrilled we found our little sausage dog from Spottadachs Kennels. Ducky is small but mighty! Right now at 13 weeks old she doesn’t have time to cuddle, she is too busy doing zoomies around the house and chasing her older sisters! She enjoys her daily walks and swimming at the local reservoir. She has such a fun silly personality. We can’t wait to make more memories with our little adventure weenie!

Where do I start with Miss Annie. Her personality was spot on with Tamara. Annie has learned to climb stairs and now playing fetch. She is almost completely potty trained. She loves anyone that enters our home. She keeps us laughing with her speed. She has a thing for my scrunchies in my hair and knows how to take them out. She is attached to those. It is very amusing. I will go back to Tamara to soon as we know Annie needs a partner in crime.
Buying a Spottadachs pup was the smartest decision we could have made. Our girl Winnie, who is just over a year old, has the best disposition. She is so laid back, silly, friendly and is the funniest little dog ever; making us crack up every day. I have no doubt this is due to her upbringing at Spottadachs and early days at puppy school. Moreover, Tamara has floored us with her responsiveness to my neurotic dog mom questions; is chock full of amazing advice, helpful training tips and is just so compassionate and caring. We feel so lucky to be a part of this breeder family and to have gained Tamara as a lifelong friend. I wouldn’t consider buying a dachshund anywhere else.

We have brought home two Spottadachs puppies. Oscar is a long-haired mini black and tan. Everyone who meets him comments on how well socialized he is. He’s so friendly and sweet-tempered. He is absolutely fearless. Ginsburg is a short-haired mini brindle. He’s the class clown and a bit of a velcro dog. He wants to be cuddled and held as much as possible. Both dogs are very smart and became potty trained quite quickly thanks to Tammy’s puppy school. We love them both very much. They adore each other and when they aren’t playing tag, they’re cuddled together in one of their doggie beds. Tammy made sure we had tons of pictures from the start, so we were already in love before we brought our boys home. Tammy is an amazing breeder. She does everything possible to give her puppies the best start in life they can get, and has always been responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Nuria H. Coming across Tamaras site was kismet! I was planning on the end of summer/fall to get a new babe and was doing extensive research on breeders when I discovered Spottadachs. I was surprised to see there were puppies available so I decided to take a look and saw my Emi. I knew right in that moment he was my dog so I reached out. Turns out Emi wasn’t something Tamara had planned for either but she cared for him and his siblings just as if they had come from one of her own pair. Emi was exceptionally small and Tamara was so great about updates, making sure he got to a healthy weight, and we were both more than happy to let him stay w her just a couple more weeks so we both knew he’d make the trip safe. Tamara’s wonderful husband met me half way between San Diego and Utah and brought me my lil guy safe and sound. He’s now a California dude and doing great. Tamara always told me he was spunky and he certainly is! But I’m amazed and so pleased with his confidence. He does great w the other dogs he has met so far, children, and loooves meeting new people. I’m so happy I chose to work w spottadachs and felt assured and comfortable from beginning to end thanks to the puppy cams, pictures, and responsiveness of Tamara. Should I ever be on the market again for another dachshund (which I probably will) Spottadachs will always be my go to!
